My medium-term goals:
- Go back to school.
- Get new computer and equipment.
- Record solo songs at home while attending school.
- Graduate.
- Start my career and get settled.
- Start band again and/or do some session work on the side.
I have decided to go back to school. So starting this fall, I will be taking classes again. I haven’t been to school since I completed my spring semester in 2001. This was the year right after I finished up high school. It’s been a while and I’ve grown a lot since then. I have more of an idea what I want to do.
A lot of people have been asking me why I’m not in a band anymore or when I will start playing out again. Since I’ll be attending college while still working full-time, I am focusing on taking school seriously and doing well. This means I don’t have sufficient time for a band. Anyone who knows me realizes that I would rather do something as perfectly as possible or just not do it at all. I’ll probably do something band-wise after I graduate and am settled into my new career. I know, this is no fun. But once I have a good job career, I will have more stability to be in a band.
In the meantime, what I’m trying to accomplish is to save up money to buy a new computer/gear and record solo songs at home. I’m guessing I’ll release new material sometime in 2008. I’ll keep you posted as things progress. Thank you for your patience. 🙂
