I went to the Maryland Renaissance Festival on Saturday. I had never been, so my friend Mary took me and let me borrow an outfit of hers. It was pretty cool. There was so much to see, do, and eat, that you can’t possibly do everything you want to do in a day. 🙂 There were so many awesome handmade clothes, accessories, instruments, and more that I would’ve bought if I had the money. There were these beautiful leather corsets, skirts, and coats. They were expensive, which I understand, considering they were handmade, one-of-a-kind, and leather. If I become rich someday, I’ll buy a lot of clothes from the Renaissance Festival.
I did get a pair of leather bracelets that tie up in the back and have spiraling dragons on the front. And I also bought two leather hair wraps that I’ll wear in pigtails.
I was entertained by the jousters and all of the entertainers. There were magicians and storytellers all over the place. It was fun to people watch. Sometimes, I could not tell apart the attendees from the hired staff, because a lot of people were dressed up and in character. It was fun to just absorb it all and be entertained.
I had fun! I’d like to go back and check out more stuff, like the giant slide and listen to the town gossipers.
Renn Fest started last weekend and takes place every weekend until October 23.
