There’s hope for original female artists in the “Alternative” genre after all

Posted on November 6, 2007 by cherryteresa

This reminds me of a time and a place that existed up until the mid 90s: Before crap like Gwen Stefani and Avril Lavigne started being considered alternative artists, which was just a joke.

Remember artists like PJ Harvey, Siouxsie Sioux, Bjork, and Kate Bush? (They're still around, actually). They used their talent to sell records.

Well, I bring to you BAT FOR LASHES!
(If you like it, show your support. Let the record companies know that there really is an interest out there for good music. There are tons of amazing female artists out there. They just aren't getting signed).
