Writer’s Block: Spoilers Below the Cut

Posted on January 30, 2009 by cherryteresa

Have you ever ruined the ending or given away plot developments in a book, movie, or tv show by telling someone who hasn't seen or read it what happens? Has anyone ever done this to you?

This has happened to me so many times. Even if I say "Please stop, I don't want to know any details about the movie whatsoever", the person will keep talking. I have a friend in particular who always does this and has spoiled movies and season finales I was stoked about seeing. You know who you are. (It's okay, though, I'm still your friend). I know that there are some people who want to know the details or the spoiler but I will specifically ask certain people to stop talking about it and they''ll keep on going.

I could give some examples that would make you go "OH! That's bad! They really ruined that for you!" But they would be spoilers for anyone who hasn't seen those movies.
