Unrecognized Phone Numbers

Posted on January 29, 2007 by cherryteresa

I get calls here and there from numbers I don’t recognize and they don’t leave a voice mail. But this has been happening a lot over the past couple months. And it’s not just one number calling over and over, it’s several. Due to the fact that my phone number seems to fall into the wrong hands sometimes, I don’t answer the phone if I don’t recognize the number. But, all you have to do is leave a voicemail!

If I change my number, call from work, or have to borrow a friend’s phone, etc. I know that chances are the person I’m calling isn’t going to answer. But what do I do? I leave a voice message so they know that I’m not a weird person or creditor calling. Usually, that person ends up calling me right back if they are available. You see how easily that works?

Also, please do not hit *67 before you call. I won’t answer Restricted calls. Why would you do that? Either you are pranking me and don’t want me to know who you are; Or if you’re not pranking me and it is a normal call, then I would find out after I answer who you are anyway.

I know you can just find out phone numbers in the phone book by typing the number into google. But if you’re not in the phone book, you won’t come up in the search. So, most cell phone numbers aren’t searchable this way. Also, several of the numbers are hotels and this doesn’t help much to tell me who you are.
